I can't believe I'm saying this, but it works quite well. I've been using it to clean juice stains out of our carpet (from our 3 yr old), and it works better than Resolve and other stuff. I'm impressed.

btw, they sell the stuff at Target.

Clorox actually made a copycat product....so i gues it's pretty popular...

So how exactly do you get the stain out with it? I have a puppy that left a present for us in the carpet (white) and resolve is not doing the trick.

Just follow the dilution guide on the back. I just sprayed the stains on the carpet, then use a sponge to rub the stain, and most importantly, soak it up real good w/ another sponge. All of the stains I've encountered have been juice, so I'm really not sure how well it will work on pet stains. Good luck!

Yep, it's good stuff. I don't even pre-treat the grass stains on my son's white football pants anymore - just toss 'em in with a little laundry soap and a half a scoop of Oxi Clean and they're glaring white again. And it works way, way better than the Febreeze laundry additive at taking out smells because it doesn't leave any perfume-y stuff behind.

I haven't tried it on colored loads of laundry yet, but once school starts, I suppose that'll be next. :disgust:

I've gone through one smaller container of Oxy Clean and am quite impressed by it. I've used it on the carpets, in the laundry and it was also good at getting some stains off our cement. My local grocery store sells both Oxy Clean and the new Clorox cleaner. I guess I'll try the Clorox cleaner next because the container is actually a little bigger and costs about the same as Oxy Clean.

I don't know what it's made of, but it's a derivative of Hydrogen Peroxide. At least that's what I've been told.

I just returned from my trip to the supermarket. Here's the run-down:

Oxi Clean: $4.29 for 24 oz.
Clorox Cleaner: $3.29 for 32 oz.

Also, there's another "Oxi" cleaner out, which is made by All - I also saw it on the shelf. However, I picked up the Clorox because I'm out of Oxi Clean - and I'm a cheap bastard.

Clorox Oxygen Action actually works a little better
Since I'm a cheap bastard, I should have checked out the OxygenAction.com site before I went to the store - there's a link for a $1.00 off coupon on that site. :) :)

Have any of you used this stuff on tile grout? My grout is starting to turn yellow/brown and I don't want to spend a lot to get it replaced.

The tubs from Costco are great. And it's safe on colored clothing. I left a blue shirt soaking for a week+ because I was moving trays of food and got sauce everywhere, and it came out, and the shirt was blue. I throw a scoop into my load of whites, and into my darks normally too.

I bought a house back in June and the carpet had some stains. Rust in the bathroom from where water dripped off the shower door, some pet stains upstairs, a lipstick or nail polish stain in one bedroom and some general discoloration in the high-traffic areas in the family room. You could tell the previous owners never moved their furniture around nor did they clean the carpet often.

Anyway, after the Rug Doctor stuff didn't work, I tried the Clorox copycat stuff. It did a pretty good job on the lipstick stain but the other stains wouldn't budge. I really hoped it would work on the stains in the family room :(
