anyone ever use Maya or something similar

Maya is not just something you up and learn. People spend their whole carriers specializing in one part of that program. Download the trial, you will see, when you see how hard it is at the very beginning to make a donut shaped object you may give up.

Not saying you can't do it if you can it's loads of fun. But starting with Maya is like starting to drive with a F1.

I use Maya for a living. It isn't a friendly program to jump into. If you are serious in wanting to learn go buy some books and search around for tutorials to get a feel for things.

Also a cylinder isnt a donut shape object, you could have created a torus and acheived that.

For real. When they make movies with it they have whole teams designated to certain parts.

I would love to make a 3D video of some Aeon Flux stuff, but I know darn well I dont have the patience.
