The ABIT boards have a functional 4th memory slot that is supposed to work if ALL memory is buffered/registered. They list them as 4G total, but the most that will actuall be supported is 3.5GB with the 4th populated. Dapunisher and Duvie have mentioned that a mix of unbuffered and buffered/registered memory will play together, but that the ECC (Error Correction) is not supported in this configuration. looks like some of the Asus and Epox boards have this 4th Mystery slot also, and I am wondering if anyone has used memory in this slot other than the ECC buffered variety. Did it play nice with the others, or refuse to play.
