Anyone ever try Remy Martin Louis XIII?

i knew a guy that drank it
we had one with our dinner everynight when i was working a job in the netherlands in '96
 
I can't remember if it was Louis XIII but I had some Remy that was about 1k a bottle at house party thrown by a really wealth guy one of my friends knows.

Edit: It was good but I'm not a brandy person and cognac is simply glorified brandy.
