Yeah, Viper GTS and I were doing cookies in his old church's parking lot on a Saturday afternoon when we thought nobody was there. Well, apparently the lone car that was sitting in the parking lot belonged to one guy who was inside instead of belonging to someone who sometimes parks there and leaves or whatever. The guy ran out, got in his car, floored it across the parkinglot and boxed us in the corner. He got out and started bitching us out for doing that on church property, etc. That was years ago and we haven't seen him since. Well... until I visited my girlfriend's church and saw that he was the head pastor there. Thank GOD that he didn't recognize Gregg or me.

I was watching one of my friends (is a real driver) play NASCAR 2002 on my computer and he was doing donuts on the infield of one of the tracks in the game. I asked him how he was doing it and he said it was basically just turning the wheel and goosing it.

I'm sure you could spin the tires in an automatic. Granted, it's probably a lot easier to do with a manual since you can just keep some clutch in and hit the gas. I don't know what would happen if you had the parking brake on and hit the gas. May want to get the thoughts of some people here that know more than I do about cars (not very much).

Parking break + foot on Gas = go but with a funny noise...my bro did that once and when he pressed gas he did it pretty hard beacause he wanted to be slick comming out of a parallel parking..lol it made a loud noise and it still went thouhg.....weird...

*shrugs* I dunno. Like I said, I wouldn't try any of this stuff without first consulting the car experts that reside here. Heck, I would never try any of it in my car, even if I was just about to get new tires. Knowing me, I'd probably tear up the transmission or something. Hehehe.

I'll post one when I do one in my truck.

Here is the way to to them.

#1 have nice RWD car/truck. (rear locker a bonus! )
#2 Start vehic.
#3 turn wheel in the direction of your choice.
#4 stomp on it.
#5 stop when your tires blow.

It helps if you have some serious horsepower behind ya. I feel like doing another nice big one so I will tape it for the guys here. And no, mu 2500 dodge with a v-10 is not stock. you will see :D

Doing this is pretty hard on the trans / driveline. An auto can do them, just like a stick can. If you are in a stick, it is easier to control, but with some practice a auto can be just as good.

I have blown my rear end 3 times so far, all while doing burnouts / donuts. I need a dana 80. this 70 is not cutting it :D

Parking brake and gas doesnt do anything really. My brother was driving the Saturn and had forgot to take off the ebrake... DER! WTF, how can you do that? Anyway though the brakes got hot and started to fade apparently and he had to pump them to work, WHen i was driving to school later that day they almost went completly out and i had to stop with the ebrake as i pumped the brake pedal to build some pressure...

Stupid bro'.

Yep, my friend did that with my mum's car. It ended up badly wrecked with almost all of us killed.

Evadman pretty much laid out the technique correctly. The more power you have, the better. I don't have a V10, but my 350 does alright. I've done my share of donuts, so I can't really say not to do it. Just be aware that it's hard on the drivetrain and watch out for lightpoles in parking lots.

The other time to try it that's less destructive is on snow or ice. Just make sure there's a lot of space all around.

In a FWD car, get going about 35, then turn hard and pull the e-brake. You can keep your foot on the gas if you want. In a RWD car, get going about 35, turn the wheel hard and floor it. In an AWD car, get going about 60, slam on the brakes then turn hard. It's pretty hard to do a donut in an AWD car w/o killing the transmission (center diff especially) but it's fine in FWD and RWD cars. In any car you'll lose some of your tires. It's much easier to do in snow/ice/mud, but if you don't have those around just wait till it rains.
