Anyone ever try Absinthe?

My friend brought some back from Germany but not enough to share. 🙁 He said something about putting a sugar cube in a spoon and pouring the absinthe over it... I dunno.

Yeah...it makes me wanna die....

It does well if you wanna get real drunk real fast but it's friggin disgusting

^second what you said.. I tried some in a bar, they brought it in a shot glass.. It hurt real bad, but I got drunk. (not just off that, but it helped)

I bought a big bottle of it, and brought it back, going to a party tonight, and was wondering if there were any good recipes...

It is illegal for resale, but customs ok's a small amount for personal consumption.

As far as the site goes, I found it on google cache.. so all good, thanks

The proper ways to drink absinthe?we asked Martha!

1. Pour a shot of absinthe into a glass. Contemplate its green perfection and try not to look like a giddy American.

2a. French method: Place a sugar cube on a slotted spoon, then drip six to eight parts chilled water over cube and into glass.

2b. Czech method: Fill a spoon with sugar, then absinthe. Burn until the sugar caramelizes, then mix, adding water.

3. Add more water or sugar to taste, then stir until a cloud?known as the ?louche??forms in the glass. Drink up!
