I'm hosting a halloween party this weekend, and I thought it'd be nifty to tint my old contacts (I wear 3mo pairs, save the old ones incase I lose one) a shade of deep red for the party. I read somewhere that it's a common fad (or was a fad, I read this a while ago) among teens to tint their contacts with food coloring. I seem to remember the article quoting a doctor saying that it wasn't that dangerous, except it made them less sensitive if a particle of dirt got under them and made it more likly to scratch the cornea. Since I'm not planning on wearing them longer then a few hours, I don't figure that'd be a problem.
Anyone ever try this themselves? Run into any problems?
