Anyone ever take Bart to SF Airport before?

For anyone not in the bay area and just curious, BART = bay area rapid transit, sort of a monorail system I guess. Anyways, they recently finished construction so you can now take bart to SFO. Has anyone done it yet? What was it like... I know you have to transfer at one of the stations. Is carrying all the luggage and stuff a big hassle?

i take the train up to Daly City .. everyone i talk to say it's not a problem, it's easy.

From Walnut Creek, you just take SFO train. It should be direct. If you can carry your luggage then you are good to go. Since you are getting on at Walnut Creek (assuming from your profile) you'll easily find a seat and place to sit your luggage.

we're leaving christmas day as well so that shouldn't hurt either. I'm actually leaving from the Pleasant Hill station, as it's closer to my home. According to www.bart.gov however, I need to board Millbrae Train, then transfer at Balboa Park and board the SFO international train then...

Yes, I've taken it from MacArthur BART in Oakland to SFO several times. Very easy. If your suitcase is a big wheely type, you may have some difficulty through the entrance gate, but some agents will let you go around.
When you get to SFO there is another people mover tram system to take you to your terminal. Very easy as well.
Buy a round trip ticket so you don't have to hassle with it when you come back.
