Anyone ever sue someone for spam?

I have a legit company who I have been asking for the last 4-5 months to remove me from whatever list I'm on. They always say they comply, but then another message from them will pop up. I want the junk mail to stop from them but they can't seem to make it go away.

Do you have records of you telling them to stop and them replying that they did?

I almost did. My mother in law made what I thought was ham and eggs for breakfast, but it turned out to be Spam. It was naaaasssstty. Can THIS close to suing her for misrepresentation :|

Yea, I have a bunch of emails going back and fourth about how they removed me from their lists, etc. What is the proper way to get this done. Doesn't it have to be in small claims court?
