Anyone ever stayed in a Shoney's Inn?

I have to go to Houston next month for some Compaq training and I was looking for a hotel close to the training site. The only hotel close to where I will be is a Shoney's Inn and I've never heard of them. There is a Marriott about 10 miles away but I REALLY don't want to have to drive 10 miles every morning and evening in Houston traffic and the Shoney's Inn is right across the street. Anyone ever stayed in one of these places? Opinions?

I've seen em, never stayed in one. Look to be like your run of the mill HoJo, Holiday Inn, Best Western, etc. Bonus is the attached Shoney's.

They're fine. They all usually have a Shoney's attached to them as well. (except Cedar Rapids, IA. :|)
