Check the event log, maybe there's some indication of what "service" it was trying to access. Also, do you have SP1 installed (required for larger drives) and the drivers for the SATA controller? The Intel Application Accelerator drivers might clear that up.

By that do you mean from the computer management applet in the event viewer categorie? If so, then there's nothing out of the ordinary in there. I cleared the log, reset the computer, and there is nothing bad in there, yet I get the same error.

I'm trying to find some kind of .log file on my computer that would have a more detailed list of things, but I can't find it/know where it's at.

I don't think Windows writes any .log style files for installing hardware. In event viewer you have Application and System logs to look at (as well as Security which wouldn't apply). I would expect a failed install would write some sort of entry but maybe not.

I would just check the cable connections, maybe reseat them....

I've used different cables and pretty much everything.

It wouldn't be that because the drives are fully functional. I can access the files, make new files, and all that jazz.

I copied over 250gb to one of the drives and it works just fine, this is just some stupid windows bullsh!t.
