Anyone ever seen the movie "Beat Street?"

for me it epitomizes the reasons i'd have liked to be an adolescent in the 80's... it has everyting, breakin, famous oldskool mc's like cool herc, africa bambaata, and doug e. fresh... it's got some sweet hiphop house tunes, a cheezy love story, a "i can rise up from the poverty of the inner city though hardwork and my funky flava" type story, some cool dance scenes... theres so much to love... apart from the abject poverty that some of the kids in the movie live in, and the fact that that one dude dies, i would have loved to have been there... plus, it has such a sweet ending... 😀

a litte info about the film for those who care

Yes, I noticed it on satellite TV the past month. I was around 10 years old when I fell in love with break dancing. I remember Turbo & Ozone from Breakin' and all of the other movies that helped popularize the whole break dancing era. If I recall correctly, IceT got his break back then.
