First are there any good B&M or online stores that offer great prices on speaker wire and face plates? Second any good guides out there to get for doing this?

I have new laminate floors with new baseboard put in and I want the 4 speakers mounted for surround sound slightly above ear level when sitting on the couch. There are ony 3 walls to use. Rear, Left and Front. This is a newer house with attic and crawlspace.

Edit: Now with pics

Home Depot for your wall plates and wire.

If you have a crawlspace you have it made. Are these inside or outside walls? (referring to where the other side of the wall faces)

Work with the crawlspace if you can. You'll probably want a second set of hands/eyes to help you out though.

EDIT: You could also run the wires under the floor if that's accessible. That's what I did in my living room. I wire terminals in all 4 corners of the room flush mounted to the floor. Then my speakers plug right into there. Another set of terminals behind the entertainment center in the floor as well.

I want the terminals up higher on the walls. See pic in first post

When I originally installed my DirecTV dish I had my brother, who is an electrician, come and help me with it. He had this drill bit that was about 4-5 feet long that we used to drill down from the attic or up from the basement to run cable through the wall. It was actually a lot easier than I anticipated. The only time we had to use the long bit was if we were in a section that had a cross member otherwise it was just drill a hole and use fish tape.
