I've got a 512MB stick of PC2100R DDR that just died. I can't get it to work anymore. Googlegear will only accept returns upto 30 days, then they say contact the manufacturer. Crucial's RMA page looks none too friendly.

Any experiences?

Hi.

That was my original post. I leave it there so I may be appropriately mocked. You see, I'm an idiot. A tired idiot, but an idiot nontheless.

I mean Corsair, not Crucial.

Sorry.

First of all, are you sure you have an actualy Crucial stick or does it just have Crucial chips? If it's the latter, they won't touch it. Alot of people think they have cruicial sticks in their computer, but they really only have cheapo PCB with good chips.

I've done a few RMAs with Crucial, but always with memory I bought from them. I'd call their 800# instead of trying this on-line : 800-336-8915 (US & Canada only)

Good luck with it!

RMA'd 2 sticks of 256mB PC2100 Registered ECC that failed after 9 months. Kept original packaging/order# and they replaced it within a week. Bought chips directly from Crucial. ;)

Heh...I got some free PC2100 (Crucial) along with a motherboard I bought ages ago...it was DOA. I called Crucial..it was their part, and they RMA'd without any problem..no receipt, no invoice..nothing. :)
