About to get a 2007 accord coupe. Has anyone ever replaced their stock headunit ? How hard is it? i know the AC controls are wired into that display, and it seems like it is all one piece of the dash. What would be the best way to get an aftermarket headunit installed?

the reason is that I want to get one w/ that is an mp3cd player, or maybe even a navigation if i can get a good price.

I've only done it in a late 90's Accord which was before all the integration between the stereo and the A/C. Check with Crutchfield and see what they have, sometimes they have units for just this situation.

Do you have steering wheel controls for your stereo in the Accord? I know a lot of other people that didn't do it(including me) because you lose the functionality of those with an aftermarket stereo. For some reason it only works with the stock Honda stereo.

If you're buying a new car anyway, just get one with Nav and the iPod adapter or factory MP3 player accessory. i would be very worried about losing climate control functions, and it's going to look ugly since the stock unit is that weird shape.
