Anyone ever play "Snaps" or "Max and Nora"?

Was at a party last weekend and a friend got to talking about the game "Snaps" which we had played in college at parties and on a couple road trips. We didn't think anyone else there knew how it worked, so we decided to play and for whatever reason it was a big hit. Must have been a good number of riddle/puzzle fans there.

Good fun if the two players are good at it and the rest of the crowd is in a mood to figure out how it works.

Need 2 people who know how to play. A bystander whispers the name of someone famous to Player 1. Player 1 tries to get Player 2 to guess the name by barking out short encouraging phrases and (apparently) random finger snapping. Again, if the players are good it takes people a long time for the onlookers to figure out how Player 2 is getting the answers right. Not going to outline how it works here, but there's a vid on youtube about it. If the players aren't good, it becomes more obvious what the trick is. Good players can make it seem like the snaps are the entire key.

Max and Nora is a bit harder to solve. You only need one person who knows how it works. The person starts by saying "The name of the game is Max and Nora. The object of the game is to determine the rule of the game by asking yes-or-no questions. All questions are answered according to the rule of the game."

So people ask yes/no questions in an effort to figure out what the rule is.

Since I didn't find anything on Google spelling out the solution, here it is: If the last word in the question begins with A through M, you answer Yes. If it starts with N through Z, you answer No. It's simple, so you can answer quickly, but it can take a long time for people to catch on to the fact that the answers have nothing to do with the content of the question.

Sorry, but those games sound like they suck. What happened to "Circle of Death"?

Also, you fail for no linkage.
