This may be some sort of conspriracy! :Q ;) I keep all my receipts for expensive stuff, and I was looking at some old ones today. For example, my one DVD player which I bought 2 years ago. It's BARELY readable (and it was my only proof of the extended warranty since it was an open box unit).
Same thing for my receiver and speakers which I bought around the same time.

So if the recepits are faded, what can you do if you stuff breaks down? For example, I just bought an expensive HDTV w/ a 4 year warranty.....how can I prevent my receipt from fading?

Hahah, i know exactly what you mean. I have the receipts for a bracelet that had a lifetime guarantee. I pulled the receipt out a few months back (kept in a folder with all my other receipts) and you cant read a word on it except my husbands signature where he signed the credit card receipt part.

hmm not for us... we have literally hundreds of journal rolls of that stuff from our registers, and none of it has turned yellow on us.

Photocopy it. That might give you a better chance than having just an illegible receipt.

It's a conspiracy I tell you!!! :Q:Q:Q:Q

It's like they actually went out of their way to research an ink that would fade away in a couple years.

I'll frame it while I am at it. Hang it next to that expensive TV....that may magically break 2 months before the warranty is up and they don't make the old models anymore and can only replace with a newer one

NO ONE HEARD THAT ;)
