Hurricane season is apongest us and the yearly worrying begins. Bad thing is, you can see it coming for up to 2 weeks before it arrives unlike a tornado or flash flood 🙁

Anyone ever had their castle desercrated by mother nature ?

yeah I went thru a flood and lost everything in 86 also lived thru a hurricane in 89 or 90 cant remember...also had a small tornado go thru my town a few years ago...just hope I will never have to live thru a fire...not to mention all the earthquakes Ca. has

In 1989, my grandparent's house was pretty much squashed by the earthquake in Northern California. It was a very old and not very well constructed house, and when we got there a few hours after the shaking stopped we found their chimney on the living room floor. A huge china closet fell forward and pinned my grandfather to the dining room table, but he wasn't seriously hurt, physically. Emotionally, though, I think it changed him. He was 86 then, and he didn't seem like an old person to me until after the quake. He died last August at 96. He had a good life overall I think.

Lost it few times to mother nature when we used to live by the sea (actually I used to jump into the water from the back windows) then lost it two more time to a river floods when we moved inland. Moved to different continent that spits/pokes the mother nature in the eyes while calling her all sorts of name and it don't happen anymore. I live in the safest place in the world against nature 😛
