That's not really necessary anymore. Most of the IBM sites that I've visited lately were business casual.
I agree. Nothing gives you more joy in life than trying to install and configure WebSphincter server and apps without destroying your partitions. Yeah, tell em that and they'll love you for it.Anyway, make sure to tell the interviewer about all the tech skills that you have, even if they aren't listed on your resume. Don't be afraid to throw in some industry buzzwords like "Peer to Peer", "Open Source", or "Web Services", espically if you have the experience or training to back it up. Also, if you have any experience with IBM products like DB2 or WebSphere, make sure to mention that as well.
