Thinking of going the DIY route with a fiberglass pool install.

Anyone ever install a fiberglass pool or have experience at it?

They were very popular in the late 60's and into the 70's.

There is still a couple of local outfits that sell/install them around here, but I'd be surprised if they sell very many.

Gunite/plaster is MUCH more durable and easier to maintain in the long run.

Don't do if if you have to ask here.

I worked for a water company that had a swimming pool construction & services branch, and I have seen huge bills that they billed out for pool constructions & maintenance.

There isn't much in the world that isn't susceptible to bonehead teenagers.

MOST of them could fuck up a wet-dream.
