Anyone ever heard of this tooth whitening system


Nah, it's crap.

The only 2 methods that work for whitening teeth are:

1)Chemicals (Bleach). You got to go to your dentist for this one and it takes several trips. The off the shelf products do work a bit, but not much. Many products are simply stain-removers - what a decent brushing or dentist/hygenist trip will solve.

2) Facings (tooth coloured composite material stuck over the front of the tooth). Again you got to visit the dentist for this one. Facings are non-permanent and you can get a sensible shade instead of a mega-cheese hollywood white ( like the classic Sherrif John Bunell look). Bad points (other than cost) include the possiblity of grime getting trapped in the facing and quietly rotting your teeth behind them.

Either way I'd say to simply keep your teeth really clean and not bother with the whiter-than-white look so that you still look like a real person afterwards.
 
there is no way "your friend" should waste his money on that.
try the Crest whitestrips, or better yet get bleaching at your dentists.
