anyone ever hear of *troj_ checkin.6*

Hey All
A friend gave me his computer to remove a virus called *troj_ checkin.6* (without the stars) I have been to Nortons, Mcafee, and all over the web and I can't find anywhere where that is listed as a virus?????????? or even that it exists but there is something on his computer.

as I did a regedit and it did come up in his registry >>*troj_ checkin.6* but I wanted to look on the web first to see if there was a Removal-Procedure.

on his system he is using Ontrak or something like that and no it doesn't detect it and I am not sure how he found it.

If nothing detects it... I would tend to think he doesn't know what he's talking about (or it was automatically cleaned up). Scan it with a recently-updated scanner, and if it seems clean, tell him to provide better info next time .

oh-well, I guess I'll just have to delete those files that I found as they are in his registry...thanks anyway guys!!
