Anyone ever hear of Envision monitors?

I'm thinking of getting one and was wondering if they are any good. The price is right at $179.99 after rebate, and I really want a 19" monitor,as this 15" is blinding me. BTW, it's a 19" Flat Screen CRT monitor, model #EN-985e in case any of you were wondering. Any advice appreciated. Also, I am NOT buying this online, so that is why this price is fairly decent, or at least average.

Yup...I see them at Fry's (in Phoenix) all the time. My office also has a couple of them. A friend of mine bought a 17" one last year...worked fine until last month and now the lower right corner is starting to go out..basically the screen is shrinking on him.
Otherwise, the ones in my office are 2-3 years old and still working fine

Just got a few of them at work... picture quality seems pretty decent (not a viewsonic 😉), don't know about reliability though.

I bought a Envision EN-985e from Staples, and returned it the next day. I could never get the screen geometry correct - the top corners would curve down, and the bottom corners would curve up. I exchanged it for a NEC 97F, which was $50 more ($249 total). The NEC has been flawless in geometry and image quality.

I have a one year old 980e which replaced a dumbass PIXIE monitor. The 980e isn't as bright as the PIXIE. It also has problems maintaing screen position. By that I mean, if I center the screen, a few days later, the screen will be a few pixels offscreen and I would have to readjust. Other than that this monitor has lasted longer than that retard PIXIE I had.

A bought a 17" Envision for my ex-GF about 6 months ago. It was actually pretty good. Expecially when I got it for like $60 AR through the hotdeals forum 😉

Sorry about taking so long to reply to my own post. Well, I did end up getting it, and so far the picture is great, and it's geometrically correct 🙂 At $179 after rebate, I cannot complain. It's actually a pretty nice monitor, and being that it's grey, it matches my case, plus it's a flat screen.
