#$%#@^& UPS!!!!!

Lost my damn Radeon 8500 that I ordered last week.

Then they made ME have to call the company I ordered it from and ask them to call UPS to put a trace on it.

UPS is not very helpful on the phone. They have NO answers and act like they could care less that they screwed up and lost a package. I also don't know why "I" have to go thru the trouble of calling back the company I ordered it from (and which I was on hold for a HOUR!!:( trying to get a hold of someone.

All i can do now is hope the company calls UPS today, since UPS can't give me info on whether the company has called them yet. (seeing as how Axion Technologies, which is where I bought the card, had me on hold for so long, I'm not holding my breath that they'll take care of this quickly)

This is all a aggravating and frustrating.

Anyways, I wanted to know if this has happened to anyone else, and if so, how did it get resolved??

How long did it take to get your package??

Thanks

I've had UPS lose packages before. The shipper always has to initiate the trace. Both times, I don't know if the shipper did a trace or not but they reshipped my items immediately, course my original boxes showed up about 2 weeks later. :)

I had a problem with UPS once when they lost my package and said it was delivered. However, with the dreamcast I ordered, it required a signature but they bypassed that so it was the driver's fault. I called UPS and they said they would need to get a hold of the driver... Luckily, the driver actually delivered to one house down the street and they actually came by and dropped it off. #*)@*)#@ stupid driver of course just dropping it off when it clearly says it requires a signature.

That sounds like a crock of BS. I just had lost package and I talk to the local people at the center. They're very helpful and can answer questions. I'll bet the label came off the package and now the 8500 is in the UPS loss center in atlanta.

Back in August I ordered some books from Amazon and they shipped with UPS to Canada. Those packages never showed up and are long gone. No cross-border tracking.

Isn't that what UPS is paid to do, lose our packages, then we are supposed to move on to step two which is having the USPS lose our package, which leads us to step three which is to drive cross country and deliver the package ourselves. It's all a process but it is working the way it was intended, you just have been mis-informed in thinking they were supposed to get your package to you. Hell no, your neighbor is supposed to get it and then drop it off to you after he has accidentally tested it out for you for a year or so. It's all a carefully crafted process.

When I was in college, UPS lost a package of mine containing 120 CDs. Fortunately I had insured it for $1,800, which made for a nice windfall - when I went to the store to replace them I was able to get a $1 discount per CD, so I paid about $10 each. They made it a bit of a hassle to get the money, but since the box had apparently been stolen they ultimately caved.

The worst thing UPS ever did was deliver 1 box of a 2 box shipment. I asked the driver where the second box was and he said that it wasn't on the truck. Of course, he showed back up 20 minutes later after I called the local UPS office because the package had fallen off his truck about 5 blocks away. I was lucky that someone had found it and notified the office.

USPS lost a dreamcast that I ordered and claimed that it was delivered, but to a different zip than the one it was actually shipped. Investigation and insurance claims are pending.
