Anyone ever have problems with Powerdvd

I have PowerDVD 7 and everytime i use it it turns off my sound to the point where i have to restart my computer to regain any sound whatsoever. Last time this happened i also had to reinstall the sound drivers because they *magically* got lost and weren't installed. Anyone else have this problem?
 
I don't have that problem, but when attempting to play a DVD with PowerDVD 7, my computer reboots itself. When I use PowerDVD 5.0, it works fine. 6.0 also causes a reboot - Strange!
