yes, did it for quite awhile actually.. One job was to "mystery shop" the local theatres, that was tough, get paid $10 a movie, plus reimbursed for 2 tickets, 2 popcorns, and 2 sodas, best part was half the time i didn't even buy popcorn or soda, i'd just wait for someone to buy it and ask them if i could get a receipt, usually worked wonders for me. But anyway, i digress

i also did some shops of Sears, and some other mall type stores. Got paid $20-$30 a visit for those, and all i had to do was "shop" for something and document what i did and how employees reacted.

I also did some serious work for another company, mystery shopping rent a center and radio shacks. Me and my roomate spent 1 day driving around visiting all of the stores in Buffalo, NY and the surrounding towns and made about $250 each for our trouble. 10 hours of work for $500 (net) was well worth it, esp since only about half the time was spent out tooling around, the other half was just me typing sh*t up. If you can get this kind of job, it's great for a side job. i'd highly recommend it

The restuarant i work at hires a company that sends poeple in to evaluete the food and service, we dont know who they are but we get reports from them. Sounds like a pretty cool job, wonder how you get into that sort of work?

where do you find these jobs, who do i contact?

my friend used to work at KFC and would always tell me the stories of people getting reprimanded because they fooked up with a secret shopper.

I looked into these jobs a while back (few years) and there was this website and it was asking for previous experience? Basically, the job was meant for old ladies i guess who had nothing better to do. They probably had years of experience doing it.

I guess i was looking at one of the harder companies to get a job with. I dunno.

My sister was a mystery shopper for papa johns. She would just order pizza from different locations and then phone one of the managers that hired her to tell them how the service and pizza was. They were looking for consistency in the ingredients i guess.

Except for the free food, it really pays crappy and isn't worth the hassle.

That's for sure. I am still waiting for my $14.50 for the Round Table shop I did about two months ago, they offered another but I am not going to do them for free...

at the restaurant i work for, we get shoppers 3 times a month and what we've found is that they constantly lie to bring down the score.
