What did you guys do to help the bumps go down. I only have it on my cheeks and neck. Not very visable, but still annoying. :-\

If I don't take medication *every* single day, I get hives all over my body. Sometimes it happens even when I don't forget. Has been happening for 7.5 years. So, yes, I've had hives.

What do I use? If zyrtec doesn't work, I take prednisone. If that doesn't work, I have an epipen.

They didn't give her any antihistamine? That's strange.

That sounds like an ER staffed by actors that were just playing doctors. They should have given her an antihistimine.

I've had hives. I've read that about 1/3 of people will during the course of their lives have the mysterious hives disease with the unknown cause. Antihistimine works pretty well for me but the lotion is pretty ineffective. I haven't had them for a long time now. I think I inherited the problem from my dad.

I'd advise benadryl but I guess it didn't help. One time I was apparently allergic to the flu (yeah I know, I still don't get it, but that's what teh doctor said) so I broke out in hives. Took some benadryl (antihistamine) to bring it down.

Wanted to let you know that if you ever get hives/swelling on your lips, tongue, or around your eyes, you should go to the doctor or emergency room IMMEDIATELY. You could stop breathing and die if you ignore symptoms of anaphalactic shock.

Valtrex could be right for you

Valtrex isn't for everyone. Side affects include mild burning, irritation, itchyness, nausea, diarea, hair loss, warts, colon cancer.......

There's no cure for genital herpes, only Valtrex.

Some kind of autoimmune thing. I guess that means I'm allergic to myself. Heh.

Thanks
