I have tendinitis in my elbow and achilles tendon that I'm having a hard time getting rid of.

I'm thinking about trying acupuncture.

Thoughts?

I am sure there are other ways to take care of it besides sticking a bunch of pins and needles in your body.

It definitely works for stress reduction.

I've tried Traditional Chinese.

It's worth a shot

I just finished 4 weeks of physical therapy and it didn't work.

I did it a while back. Went there for stomach issues. Actually worked pretty good but our insurance stopped covering it so I stopped. I think my current plan covers it but I haven't been back.

Yeah, Western medicine's reliance on drugs may not work as well and may also have side-effects, but at least it costs more.

You may not need full blown acupuncture; acu-pressure therapy may do it as the problems you've described seem muscle related. Acupuncture greatly increases circulation and whiteblood cell production, so it will speed up healing if you've got a tear or something.

Start taking some MSM too.

It should be noted that they use pins, and that they only go down to the 3rd layer of skin. I get pale and want to puke anytime someone brings a syringe near me, but I have no problem with acupuncture. Cept when they want to put them on your head or in your ears, that's just weird *shivers*

My Wife has a herniated disk in her lower back. It made her cry to get out of the bed.

We have been to General Physician first, then Orthopedic he sent us to a Pain Management Center to receive the three shots over six weeks into the herniated disk (which made some of the pain go away but she still could not pick up our 6 month old baby. By this time she now has a bad pain in shoulder too.

We then went to a Chiropractor ... he could not help with her shoulder and back pain was no different. He recommended us to a another doctor.

She decided that she wanted to go to this Chinese Doctor in Fayetteville, NC to recieve acupuncture. (two hour trip one way and by the way my wife is Korean).

She has been three times so far. After the first visit the pain was worse, then much better the next day. Now after her third visit. Her pain is almost gone and she is now able to carry our baby, put her in car seat etc.

Her back isn't completely heal or perhaps it isn't healed at all. But all I know is that she is not experienceing 5% of the original pain. So now i am a believer.
