Anyone ever had a file transfer freeze on them?

I was transferring several large files/folders between various drives and the transfer just froze and stuck at 12%. This was on mint 17.

I had a look and there was no disk activity so it definitely froze. Also the desktop icons were no longer clickable but for some reason the main menu at the bottom left still worked. I tried to restart and a popup showed up telling me programs are still running, it showed "nemo - moving files".

I restarted and cleaned up the mess of partially transferred folders etc... has anyone else ever had that happen? The thing freezes when you push it with multiple file transfers?

I have had that happen. Typically with very busy file servers.

My guess is the process responsible for the file transfer terminated without throwing an exception to the GUI.

i heard a friend of mine had that, but with some time it gor resolved also
