That attaches itself to every EXE on your system, and makes it impossible to open any program except IE to open on your computer? Well i got that virus today, and decided to format both drives, only because i ust formatted a couple weeks ago and really had nothing on here that i needed....so i formatted both drives and started fresh again.....
Ive had a rough week. I ordered a 2400+ from newegg and recieved it on Wednsday. I go to install it and right before windows would load I get a Hardware malfunction, I thought it would be the mobo because i hit it several times trying to take off the SLK-800. (i have bad hand eye coordination) I come to find out that my board didnt support the chip, so i put this crappy 1.2ghz back in (I have an Epox 8k5a2+) So I was told that a BIOS Flash with the newest BIOS would work because the person that told me said hes knows people with 2400+ and my board....It was late then and i figured i do it tommorow...so today rolls along (actually yesterday becauses its 2:53am) and i went to install Norton because i suspected a virus because some weird things were happening, so norton is done and it doesnt open, says it cant find a certain file....i find the file and wonder why its not working, go to open Nero, nero doesnt work....then it happens to all other programs except IE.....now im pissed, and theres still more story....so I format my main drive (80 gig) then format my slave drive (40 gig) everythings going fine now.....I get the BIOS Update and shutdown my PC to plug in the floppy....plug everything in...pc starts then turns right off.....i almost crapped my pants because in the past month i blew 2 PSU's and this is 500 friggen watt.....try again....same thing.....so i pull the PSU connector out of the Floppy and I start up and it works fine......so after trying another time with the floppy connector i realize its that. So now i have no floppy drive and I cant update my bios....I have to send the chip back and get a 2000+ instead....What makes me more angry is that this 500w only has 4 mollex connectors (another generic, all i could afford) and i have a burner, dvd drive, 2 hd's....and a delta 92mm fan which requires a plug into the mobo and into a mollex connector. Not to mention I did all this so that I could do a review of the SLK-900u (which i reccomend over the SLK-800 any day of the week) for my website....rough rough week....but hopefully next week I can get everything sorted out and get it running right....and possible get a new PSU, either antec or enermax.....
