Hi there, I have been screwing around with this for a long time now and can't seem to get it to work. I have both Dell laptops and desktops that have integrated NICs in them, and I can't get them to work with ghost. Normally it's not to hard with non--integrated nics, you just download the driver and creat a bootdisk...but, with both of these Intel PRO integrated ones (Intel PRO 1000 MT), I am getting no luck. Anyone ever got it to work or have any ideas?

Comrade xtreme11,

Greetings from the socialist motherland!

Yes, I have integrated LAN on one of my two peer-to-peer networked computers and, yes, I use GHOST over a TCP/IP connection to do drive-to-drive backs-up. The board involved is an Intel D815EEAAL with Intel(R) PRO/100 VE. Are you sure you're making the boot disk correctly? My memory has it that I had some difficulty getting the driver on the disk correctly; there was an entry you needed to make that it turned out I was overlooking. What kind of messages are you getting when you are trying to connect, where do you fail?

Now its always possible that it's not the driver and you've been sabotaged by enemies of the people, comrade xtreme11. We will be looking into that question. But as assurance that you are not leading uncle Lavrenti on, how do you say, a wild goose chase, we will be holding your mother here at Lubianka for a period. Eventually we will have the truth, comrade.

Yours in the joy of socialist labor.

Thanks for the help, I ended up spending like an hour with a very nice and helpful Dell hardware guy who ended up sending me a PCI driver for cards with the same chipset as my integrated, and though it comes up with a cannot find slot error, it still loads and works with ghost, so I am incredibly overjoyed comrade! because now I can multicast my 35 new PC's instead of pulling their hard drives.
