Anyone ever get an underground sprinkler system installed?

I am thinking about getting a sprinkler system installed. The Chicago summers are pretty harsh on a lawn when you don't water them. Setting up sprinkers manually really isn't feasable as I have a lot of land(corner lot about 8000 SQ/FT of lawn).

Anyone get this done?

I watched a program a few years back on doing it yourself and it didn't look too hard. The most difficult part is laying it out from what I remember. I've been toying with the idea myself so I will be watching this thread for ideas.

Yea - I'm trying to decide between DIY and getting a profession to do it. Here is a good link for DIY: http://www.irrigationtutorials.com/install.htm

My main concern is getting the "trenches" dug. What you need to do is get the city to come and mark all water/gas/power lines underground and then rent a trencher. I would be nervous about cutting one of those lines.
