Anyone ever fly on an E-170

Anyone ever fly on an E-170? How big are the overhead compartments? I want to know if I will be able to squeeze a duffel bag (not a gigantic one, a normal sized one) into the overhead rack.

I did once, but we got shot down by a soviet missile and I died in the wreckage. My memory is kinda fuzzy on the overhead storage.

Pretty much sized like a bigger jet...so a standard roll-on should fit. They say 24"x16"x10".

I hope the seats are better on those than the 145 series. Man that was the wrost seat I have ever sat on in a jet. :(

I had a window seat, I couldn't sit straight up. I had to lean my shoulders and head for the whole flight. Regional jets FTL.

I have an aisle seat for my flights to and from school for spring break (Chicago to NYC), so I hope it isn't too bad. I'm 5'10"/140lbs, so I don't think it should be too small.

I got to fly on one earlier this year.
I didn't have any problems with my duffel bag, but it was pretty tight because a lot of people have to share one compartment.

I agree the 145 seats are the worst ever :(

Never been on one, but I've heard the E170 is pretty comfortable with 18" wide seats (same as an Airbus A320) and full size overhead bins. No middle seats either. I actually like "gate checking" my bag on smaller regional jets b/c I don't have to worry about finding overhead space (and no waiting at the baggage carousel!)

And I agree the E145 seats are terrible, even the single seat side.

Ah, yes....you triggered my memory. OP shouldn't have any problems with the E-170.
Just avoid E145's and Bombardier CRJ 700/900's.

I actually flew in a CRJ 700 last month, it was nice but perhaps because it was only half full and I had both seats to myself. It was pretty damn small.

DeltaConnections, flight operated by ShuttleAmerica. Already checked there when I booked the flight; there was nothing.
