anyone ever fly ATA airlines?

I am flying in 2 weeks from LA to NYC and ATA is about $80 cheaper then the next flight, but i havent even ever heard of anyone flying this before...any help?

i've heard good things about it. friend uses them all the time

i have credit with them. gonna take a flight soon

go for it

flown in it, happy on the whole. cheapest by far for when i was traveling, was definitely satisfied.

i've flown with them once from lax to jfk. i did not like them at all. the seats were really tight, uncomfortable and close together (even for coach). If you could take the 6 hour flight feeling cramped up in a tiny place. its cheap for a reason.

Flew them from San Jose to Boston and back. They were OK. Had a massive delay when I landed in Chicago before we went on to SJ. Good for the money I guess, but don't expect too much. My favorite airline to fly to the east coast is Jet Blue. I flew Jet Blue Oakland to DC, and Oakland to NYC, and it was great. DirecTV in every seat rules!

i've heard of it. its supposed to be really cheap, but a decent airline. they are known for their delays though.

I've heard they are slower and less reliable than SCSI airlines... but they hold more people.

(Sorry, it had to be done!)

😀

UGH... I was waiting for that one

Flew from Charlotte to Toledo and back with a stop at Chicago-Midway both times. I'd never heard of them before I made the trip but I'd definitely fly them again. I was impressed. And, like you said, they were cheaper than everyone else.

Another positive vote here. I flew from O'Hare to Puerto Vallarta and back on ATA without incident. Departure and arrival times were almost dead on both ways and the flights were smooth. I would fly ATA again without a second thought.

can't say i've flown on them personally, but heard good things about them from friends who have flown on them

I flew ATA from Chicago to New York about 10 roundtrips in the last 4 years. I dont think my plane left on time a single time. Average delay was probably about 45 minutes. Price and convenience is the only reason I still fly it, since I live fairly close to Midway in Chicago.

I only flew ATA once, from Indy to St. Pete last year. Before I left, a co-worker told me that he used to take that flight all the time, and he wished me luck - he said it only has about a one in three chance of making it off the ground without being cancelled or delayed for hours...

Done about 20 flights on ATA (cheapest from Phoenix to Chicago). I think they are one of the better airlines. I think I've only had two late flights and several that landed early.
