Anyone ever file a complaint with the BBB?

I was just wondering for those of you who've done it was it really worth the trouble? In my case I just got off the phone with an office max csr after trying to order my A70 as the S200 sub. She was letting me order it but when she put me on hold one of her managers apparently told her that she couldn't do it. She informed me that they'd gotten an e-mail yesterday informing them that they weren't able to sub the A70 since it was going on sale tomorrow. Now I understand where they're coming from but they knew it was going to be on sale so they shouldn't have offered it as the sub if they weren't prepared to honor it. I don't even really care about getting the deal at this point but it just annoys me that a company can refuse to honor their prices in that way. So if I were to file a complaint against them would it even matter for a company as big as OM?

Before anyone flames me I'm not one of those people to file complaint or leave bad reseller ratings over price mistakes or things of that nature but when a company flat out refuses to honor a completely legit deal it upsets me a bit.

On another note I wasn't sure if this belonged in hot deals so if it does would a mod please move it. Thanks :)

Filing a complaint with the BBB is very simple and can be done online. The fact that it is a larger organization is a benefit to you as many of them have a dept. which addresses the complaints and attempt to successfully resolve them. The question is did they offer an acceptable alternative to you? If they did, then there isnt much of a complaint however if they simply left you hanging then you have grounds to file. In your complaint it would benefit you to outline/document what steps you took to resolve this on your own before filing with the BBB. It generally takes a couple of weeks to get a response from the organization. Generally speaking, the larger companies work hard to resolve your filed complaint so it can be removed as a negative report against them.

Good Luck!
