Anyone ever figure out how to get a dark theme in Windows 7?

I have windows 7 on my PC and wanted a darker theme, like the one from Vista. I can't figure out how to do it though. I remember when W7 first came out there actually was no way, wondering if that's changed.

Oddly enough I just got an HP laptop, and it has a dark theme for W7.

Why not just make a customized theme?

For window color, control panel, personalization, window color. Click the color you want and click save.

Then just find a desktop background you want.

Then control panel, personalization, and sounds. Choose the sound profile you want, click save.

Now name your theme.

Using Aero or basic?

As blackangst1 said, if using Aero, just customize it however you want. If running basic (non-Aero), DeviantArt has several nice dark/black themes. You have to use a theme patch, but it's easy and quick.

I run a black basic theme on my laptop and it looks way better than the default light blue.

I am a complete and total moron. I was using basic, not Aero. Aero's plenty dark for me.
