Anyone ever encountered a ghost?

Yeah.

This one time I heard this disembodied voice say "nuclear launch detected." I jumped and said "OMG what was that?!?" and used my detectors TO SEE A GHOST.

And then I killed it.

im convinced (and im not the only one in the family) that my grandfather's house is haunted.
ive always felt as if something is watching me when im up there.
i never feel alone upstairs. its a creepy feeling

my dad said pool balls on the table have moved on their own.
my grandmother said she put a vacuum cleaner at the top of the stairs and it got 'pushed' down the stairs.
my aunt has seen an orb of light moving down the hallway at night.
my great grandmother said she saw a figure of a nurse over the aforementioned aunt's cradle when she was a baby (the house was a sanitorium in the early 1900s)
ive heard what sounded like footsteps upstairs when i was staying with them, it was just us 3. no one else was in the house.

my grandfather & mother refuse to believe in any of it. but myself and several aunts arent as skeptical.

haha. and this is how you know you're a geek. 😀

I've yet to see any phantoms but anecdotal evidence throughout hundreds of years leads me to believe something may be occurring that we do not understand. It's certainly fascinating, regardless. A reputable woman who we worked with has a sister who owns an old Victorian style house and she would tell us tales of goings on over there. She even invited me visit a few hours and see for myself if anything happened but I declined.
She was never dramatic about it. It would come up in conversation as casually as something like cooking, etc.

I believe that dwellings with long histories will have some kind of paranormal activity...

I'd like to believe in ghosts, but I'd probably be scared sh!tless if one ever confronts me when no one else is around.
