Was talking to a friend of mine who went on a trip to Africa a few years back. While he was there, they went monkey hunting, and actually ate the things. It seems pretty odd to me. Just wondered how many people have actually eaten monkey.

No, but I've eaten shark. Rather tasty actually. Dunno how common that is either, but it's very common in the Caribbean.

Nope, I never ate monkey, but I'd pull a monkey's fingernail out for $10,000 :D

It's not recommended due to all the diseases you can get from them. There's even a theory that this is how AIDS first infected humans...from people eating monkeys.

Besides, they're so cute and funny...who would WANT to eat them?

Morally, I don't think people should hunt and eat primates for sport, as most are endangered to some degree or another. Plus, they tend to posses a degree of intelligence beyond poultry and most of the 4-legged animals that we're used to eating.

Bart : Hey, this monkey can lead us to some bananas.
Homer : Or more mouth-watering monkeys.

As long as it's not an orchestra party, you're fine.

Nope, the strangest thing I've eaten is probably jelly fish or crocodile or something like that. I may have had kangaroo but I'm not sure on that one.

Reminds me of that scene in Faces of Death. That movie is on my "Movies to Never See Again" list.
