I just donated one to Kars4kids. www.kars4kids.org.

Im just wondering how anyone Else's experience with this sort of thing was?

Put it this way, we paid a wrecking yard $50 to take it. Yes, they charged us.

Next time, post "FREE CAR" ad on Craigslist. It will be gone / spoken for within 5 minutes of the ad hitting the site.

We did that in the local paper. Someone came by, didn't take it.

I donated a 95 Maxima SE 5 Speed. It had about 215,000 miles but was still running great. We were about to have our first child and I didn't want to risk getting stranded.

That was before the IRS rule changes and we could estimate its value instead of waiting for a sale.

i donated to 'cars4causes' and i got 700~ for my car with a blown engine.. the dealer trade in was < 100 more likely 0, but the junkyard value was 200.

so yeah.. i am happy..
