Anyone ever dispute a charge w/ a online flower company because the flowers sucked?

I sent some flowers to my gf for valentines using 1-800-flowers. I've ordered from them in the past but usually went w/ the Florist ones, where a local florist delivers and I've always been satisified. This time I went w/ some flowers directly from 1-800-FLOWERS where they overnight them.

They arrived and I finally got a chance to look at them. They are NOTHING like the pictures. The picture showed probably 10-15 flower blooms on there...the ones received has probably 2 or 3, and thats not just open....TOTAL.

I emailed them telling them if they want to keep my business, that they should refund me. If this does not work however, would I be able to dispute this w/ my credit card company?

The link is not there on 1800flowers.com anymore, must of pulled it. It was called "Hearts A Flutter", and was $40 + shipping (may have been on sale, regular was $50 i think)

how do they deliver? i always thought they ship in fedex or ups boxes...it ruins the mood to send flowers to your GF/wife's work with ups or fedex boxes. i used to send with local florists..

haha..no, she pretended to like them. i came to visit this weekend and saw firsthand how crappy they are.

i cant even find the flowers on their website anymore. so maybe they had a lot of complaints and took them down.

I will see if I can steal the gf's camera and get a picture up in a second...

Ive disputed few times through FTD, what usually happens is they end up replacing a substitute item because they ran out of something. Call and complain, they will usually let you keep what you got, and send something to fix the problem.

they are suppose to be red rose plants. I decided against regular roses since I figured these would last longer + I always send rosers. The picture made it look like the vase was placed inside of these lady bug cushion/stuff animal looking things. Of course the plants are actually in those cheap plastic pots and the lady bugs are just these stuff animals.

One of the plants received isnt even red! Its yellow!

Yes... 1800 flowers...

VeggieFrog sent me flowers last mother's day. They were practically dead left outside on the doorstep late the night before.

I emailed the company and told them that I did not want to tell her, as she would be upset to learn that I got them like that, but I wanted them to know, so they could sort out things with whomever delivered them because if that was the way they did business, i could not trust them enough to ever use them again.

They refunded VeggieFrog's purchase and sent me a $25.00 gift cert on my next order. I expected nothing since I was not the person who paid for them, and was really surprised by what they did to make up for it.

1800flowers is probably the worst online flower company I ever dealt with. Stick with proflowers.

I ordered some flowers from ProFlowers last year and the died pretty fast.

I emailed ProFlowers CS and they sent a new arangement overnight...the second one lasted much longer.

next time i'm just going to call the florist directly next time....no coupons there but it'd probably be cheaper this way anyways.

Surprising.

Have used Proflowers quite a number of times. Experienced one issue (Thanksgiving, three years ago - what arrived was nothing like what was pictured), of which the correction was a full refund and another arrangement sent free of charge.

Perhaps the customer service has changed?
