So I see a commercial for it and I'm kinda bored - so I surf on over. What a bunch of crazy people! Everyone on their seems to be extremely vain and superficial. I'm looking through women near my area in the 18-25 age range and they all have stupid stuff in their title like "super sexy", "too hot to pass up", "dream date", etc.

What a bunch of weenies. Interestingly though, there seem to be a fair share of decent looking people...

DougK62, I've been to match.com, quite amusing I must say. I met a woman at work who asked us to make some scans of some pictures so she could post them online and when she pointed me towards her match.com page I was amazed. While she wasn't hot, she was attractive, but considering she was making a 6 figure salary and looking for the like I was blown away!

I have checked that site out. It used to be free, but now it costs a lot to answer the ads.

I've looked around there a bit before and some of the things people say just about make me gag: "I love to laugh and have fun" ...ok but who doesn't? And if I see "living life to the fullest" one more time I think I'll puke.
But maybe it's better than trying to meet people at bars and at the very least you eliminate the illiterate ones.

Yeah, most of them used to be free, but they're all pay services now. I haven't been to a matchmaker site in a few years, but I have met a few girls from them, specifically Blind Date TV personals and love.com (years ago before it was bought out). Not my style anymore.
