Anyone ever buy anything from Audible.com?

I was thinking of picking up their Snow Crash audio recording to I can listen to it during a long drive I have coming up. For $10 I suppose I can't go wrong...but still.

Seems like a newer site. no\few reviews. Personally I wouldn't. But I haven't shopped there either.

It's Amazon.com's preferred site for digital audio books...for what that's worth.

They've been around for awhile, waybackmachine show the site from 2001.

The only thing about Audible.com is that they files aren't in MP3 format, there are ways to convert them. I thought about getting a subscription, but I don't have the time to listen to the books or they don't have the ones I'm looking for.



Just remember to get the unabridged version.

I don't care if they aren't MP3s. If it becomes an issue, I can burn to a CD and rerip.
