anyone ever buy a car from a live auction?


I haven't but have had several friends that did it, however I was with them at the time of purchase. Most are happy with their buy. One, got an 7 year old SUV for $1200 that had a broken window (great buy on a rainny cold day), and have less than 40K miles. Recently another friend purchased a 10 year old Mazda van that have less than 60K miles, for $350, and it run perfectly with out oil leak (only required a new battery).
 
I bought an 85 Grand Am at one back in 1990.

1. Buy car for 2500
2. Drive it like you stole it.
3. Sell it for 3500 to hot chica.
4. ...
5. Profit!

And yes, I am old... STFU!
