i'm trying to buy something at half.com, but i have a few issues. first, i asked the seller if he accepts paypal, and he said yes. but when i go to check out, half.com requires i pay by credit card. there does not seem to be any other options. is paypal and all forms of payment besides credit cards, a no-no? and also... i found a $5 off coupon online... at what point do i get a chance to apply the coupon code? i got as far as entering my credit card info. i did not want to go any further and risk getting my CC charged. is the coupon code application field way at the end? half.com's check out sux. :disgust:

I bought 2 books this semester there, i was actually pretty impressed--both with the price and the shipping timeliness

they were good before egay bought them, now they are just like egay

all the prices went up after egay bought them, you used to actually get stuff for half or better :disgust:

the books i bought for all my classes last semester were cheaper there by way less than half. depends on what you are buying.

I bought a half.com dvd once, which had a scratch or somethign that stopped playback. the seller listed it at the highest quality rateing but readily accepted it back when I returned it. I wouldn't waste the time though, it's little more than an organized e-bay, and I try to avoid ebay because of the number of outright scammers.

DUH!!! i found the field to enter coupons. it's like right on the first page... but the thing is... it's towards the middle of the page. it shows a summary of ur order on the top along with the "proceed to checkout" button. but the coupon field was not in my screen becuz 1.) i never maximize my IE windows 2.) i didn't bother to scroll down, since the "checkout" button was right on top. very sneaky...

I once bought a cd from half.com... came to me in about a half a month, oh well, it was cheap and hard to find.
