Anyone ever bought or sold a car on ebay before?

Can't find anything locally that is even remotely fair priced...

Nope. Many cars being sold on there are dealers.... I've never found any cars that were local to my area either.

I'm about to buy 2 cars on Ebay. One from a dealer about 2.5 hours from here and another from an individual that lives 600 miles away.

The first is a minivan that is selling for $2000 plus BELOW Kelly's Blue Book. The other is a high performance collector car.

Most of the used car prices are dirt cheap and I'm sure many individuals are taking a bath by selling on Ebay. The used car market is depressed in a big big way! That's good for buyers, but the pits for sellers.

i wouldn't trust buying a car on ebay... basically, i would never buy a car without checking it out in person... pictures can hide flaws... and listings can omit the truth....

A few months ago I was watching an auction for a certain Corvette Stingray, it actually was at a small classic/exotic car dealer just a couple miles away. It appeared that someone was inflating the price and eventually bought it. The car didn't leave the dealer after that either.

I bought my car on ebay for $5000 below what I could get locally. Drove 2 hours to pick it up, and it has been well worth it.
