I'm about ready to pull the trigger on a phone I want to purchase through eBay... I buy and sell phones on ebay all the time, but this time I'm actually going to be activating a line of service (kind of like what you do when you walk into a sprint or cingular store)

It's a sprint phone, the guy is basically like a sprint kiosk, but my credit will be ran through the phone/e-mail and he will approve me for however many lines and if i am a preferred account he will allow me to buy the phone w/ contract and it will be shipped out to me.

Has anyone else ever done this? Hope he doesn't screw me once he has all my personal information.

okay here is the link to the ebay auction Text

sounds sketchy to me. What is his feedback like? Is there any way that he can ship the phone first and then you can activate it once you receive it?

Oh yeah, it's been activated already. And deactivated due to no minutes left, it's stolen, bill not paid up, (insert reason here).

If you cannot afford a real cell phone, I.E. yours, brand new, your name on the acct, etc. Then a cell is not for you ATM. Sorry.

well, his feedback does check through, but then again, a rating of 200 probably means 200 people with stolen identities so far
