Anyone ever bought a laptop battery off of ebay?

Not in the mood, nor position to be able to spend $154 on a laptop battery (screw you dell).

Found some brand new original dell batteries (Dell 8100) for $69+shipping

Sellers reviews look good...

Should i go for it?

Inspiron 8100? I bought mine from Dell last year for only 40 bucks.

I did for an older Dell laptop. Battery was from a larger seller and it worked great.

I would go for it. I bought one off of ebay about a year ago, but it was a newegg auction, so I knew I couldn't go wrong with that. If his feedback is good, I'd go for it. Just email him a couple of questions to see if his communication is ok, and if he seems to be honest.

Woo, how did you get the Dell 8100 Battery from Dell for $40 buck? You should have brought a dozen and sells it on Ebay for a good profit. I did buy a new battery for my Dell 8100 and it has been working great. Just be sure to buy from a selling with good feedbacks.

Stay away from anything that says "untested." And even if it "holds a charge" or "all 5 lights turn on" doesn't mean it will last more than 10 minutes. OTOH, a lot of people are selling new ones for ~$70.

Yea, my original battery did that... All 5 lights lit up but it lasted 15 minutes...

Anyone know how long my lappy will last with 2 batteries?

Mine lasts just around 5 hours on both batteries.
