I want to get a full size mattress from costco, but it won't fit in my 4runner. None of my friends have a truck. Does costco deliver??

they will deliver, you can fill out the order form and depending on your area, they will deliver for a charge

Home Depot $19.95 to rent a pickup truck for 60 (maybe 75 minutes)

Yep it's 75 minutes

Suggestion, this works best with two teams of people with cell phones:

1) One person buys the mattress at CostCo and gets through checkout, wait in a covered area so it doesn't rain on your mattress. Again make sure you've already paid for your mattress and it's ready to load onto the pickup truck.

2) The other person is at Home Depot renting the truck.

Assuming you live relatively nearby and don't attempt this at 5PM during rush hour traffic, it can be done.

Well, most people have friends... with large vehicles... that are willing to help... Please plan ahead as there's really nothing the supervisors hate more than two cart guys stuck outside waiting for your vehicle.

if they make you buy something more "realistic" , get some 1/4" waferboard. a 4 ft by 8 ft sheet is like $5
or better yet, some 3/8" drywall, that is only like $3 and you throw it in a dumpster after you get off the home despot parking lot

Costco had some guys deliver it for me. I think it was $35 or so. They were not part of Costco.

RossMan's idea is the best. What's cool is that in some places, Home Depot and Costco are in the same area.

Yes, queen, pickup truck. RossMan's suggestion is good, if there isn't a Home Depot nearby Lowes has the same deal.

I looked into delivery from Costco when I bought my bed, but it was too expensive.

I rented a large van on a week night from Budget Truck rentals and picked up the bed, my TV, and something else (I forget) all in one night. Everything was within a few miles, so I returned the truck with like six miles on it.

The Home Depot idea is the best. My mom does it all the time.

Hds around here arent allowing you to rent their trucks unless you buy stuff there that needs to be transported.

If you have a trailer hitch on your rig you can always rent a flatbed trailer from U-Haul to pull it on. It's about $20. Easier to rent a truck from HD, yes but this might be an option if you don't have a Home Depot around.

Edit: Wait a second.. We hauled a queen-sized mattress set on top of our jeep just fine. You can certainly strap a full sized set on top. Just be very careful to tie it down, both side to side AND front to back and secure the front down well, with a rope to the grill/front bumper and several across the top.

I bought a fullsize bed from Sam's which I think is similar to CostCo. Fit perfectly in the 8' bed of my father's F-350. :p

I have that full size CostCo bed. Pretty good for $350. Bad thing about it is that you can feel the contours/bumps at the top thru the sheets, but I dont mind them.

I used my cousins 1998 nissan pickup. Thats the best idea, its free and no time limit.
