Hell, depending on the show, they outnumber everyone else by a huge margin. Go to an Atmosphere show or something. Even at a Blueprint show...they are 90% white.

Also, I might get on his mailing list as well.

well?

That's a big decision. Are you sure you're ready to be on someone's mailing list? I like that you are putting a bunch of thought into this. It's good to openly discuss big decisions in one's life so that you are assured of making the correct choice.

He played at UMass's free concert a couple years ago when I was there, along with reel big fish (always good). I stayed around for 50's part of the show, and I didn't really care for it. All he did was run around a bit and wave his towel, not very entertaining and didn't get the croud involved at all. So yea, for some people you may enjoy it, but as I said it was a FREE concert for me, but even then it became a waste of my time after about 5 min of him.

I'd go. Rap music provides so much to our society and music in general. With such witty lyrics such as, "Slap dat ho!", "Fatty, bring me some dope", "Gonna get my G.E.D.", and "Don't drop the soap!", who could resist going to a live rap show? Thank God it doesn't all sound the same. Oh wait, nevermind... Stay home.

What's sad is while you made that post in sarcasm Pyonir, he's really not far off from the truth.

Who cares, rap sucks anyway. Anyone who says otherwise doesn't have good taste in music, end of discussion. It's not an opinion thing, it's a matter of right or wrong. I can listen to some rap once in a while, or may even WANT to listen to some in a while, but by no means do I consider it to be real music or them to be artists.

lol this is turning to a flame fest! 😛

"rap" and "music" shouldn't necessarily appear in the same sentence IMO, i personally rank it up there with trance/techno/house/disco-stuff... its fun to listen to at a club or in a car with your buddies, but it isn't really good music by any means and the ppl that make it aren't extremely talented or anything - although, and even haters have to admit: it DOES take talent to freestyle and have a good flow... that said, not all rappers fall into that category...

i personally like 50's stuff, the older tracks mainly and when he appears in other ppl's songs its pretty good too, i just thought the Massacre was more of the same, not-that-original stuff and his attitude is really coming through as a bit of a douche-bag that thinks way too highly of himself...

that said, i would still like to go to at least ONE show, just to see what its like!

I think there is and has been some fantastic talent in rap who are legitimate artists, however imo 5 cent is equivalent to talent what crap is to perfume.
