Anyone Ever Acquired A Domain Name Via The "Make Offer" Option?

The domain names I am interested in all come up as taken, even though they're not being used. From the looks of the information I get when I do a whois, it looks like several of them are just being sat on by companies that buy them for no other reason than to hold the name. Has anyone ever made an offer for a domain name and had it accepted?
